Random Fun Things Going On

Over the last couple of weeks, we've had some fun and done some new things as we've kicked off the new year.

Daniel went bowling for the first time at a friend's birthday party.  He liked it well enough but doesn't sound like he's in a hurry to do it again anytime soon.

I'm pretty sure the highlight of the whole experience was trying pop (Sierra Mist) for the first time.  He loved it.

One day before school started back up, Amy and the kids ran some errands and had to stop and try a new donut shop.  They liked it a lot!

Leslie has been asking to have her hair cut for a while.  We wanted to wait until after the holidays.  Well, we finally got it scheduled and now her hair is shorter, very cute, and much easier to brush.

Before

After!
This past weekend, we were expecting some bad weather.  So, we decided to take advantage of being stuck at home to spend the day making pasta sauce.  Leslie even helped me make it!

But everyone helped eat it.

We also went out to shovel the driveway.  The kids helped a lot, working on the front porch and sidewalk while I did the driveway.

We spent some time working on a 1000-piece Disney Pixar puzzle.  We finished it up last night.  It was a lot of fun.  I probably had the most fun, but everyone enjoyed working on it throughout the weekend.

And finally, we capped off the weekend with a little basement Nerf War.  Amy definitely had the most fun with this activity.  And I definitely ended up with the most bruises.
