Catch Up

Things just keep moving right along at our house.  Here's an update of what we've been up to recently.

My mom has been in the hospital for several weeks recovering from a procedure to help her fractured back.  Unfortunately, she had a hemorrhage in her spine above where they did the procedure which caused her terrible headaches and muscle spasms (this is a very watered down version of her symptoms and complications).  She spent a week in the hospital and then was moved to a rehabilitation hospital where she could continue with physical and occupational therapy.  It's been a long road, and we're happy to report she was released today.

The weather did not cooperate for me to go up to Des Moines the first two weekends (ice/snow), but I was finally able to go up last weekend.  This was the first time I've been away while Bobby stayed home with the kids.  They managed to have lots of fun without me - HA!

TREATS! (Nothing Bundt Cakes)

But he put them to work too!

In other news:
The kids are doing well in swimming lessons

Leslie had a playdate with her BFF, Annie

We all went to the eye doctor for our annual check-ups.  Everyone did great!

Leslie practiced writing her last name as "homework" from her preschool.  She loved it and got a few Skittles in return!
The Superbowl is Sunday, and the Chiefs are in it!  We usually couldn't care less about the Superbowl, but this year it's exciting.  Daniel's school has had lots of fun days in celebration leading up to Sunday.  Here are some pictures:

Totally Red Day Tuesday

Mustache Day for Coach Andy Reid
Even Bobby is excited!  He met the KC Wolf!
We're getting together to watch the game at a neighbor's house.  It's a big deal for Kansas City, and we're excited to be a part of it.  Go Chiefs!
