Birthday Fun!

Yesterday was my birthday and the kids woke up me up with very cute homemade cards and a new video game - yay!  Afterwards, Amy and Daniel headed out to get donuts for breakfast.  We mostly hung out for the morning, playing video games and watching TV, eating donuts, and having fun.  It was a great morning.  After that we headed out to run a few errands go to lunch.

First, we made at quick stop at Bed Bath and Beyond.  The kids found something they thought was hilarious.  I have to admit, we thought it was pretty funny too.

After that, we made a quick stop at Best Buy and then went to have a nice lunch.

The weather was finally nice yesterday, so we were able to get out and go for a walk for the first time in weeks.  It was great!  After walking, I decided to start a project I've wanted to do for a long time - taking out our fence.  It was in really bad shape and we had only been keeping it for Aspen.  Now that she's gone, we wanted the fence gone, too.  It will make it much easier to mow and will make it much quieter when it's windy out.  The kids even had a great time helping.  We didn't get all of it removed, but only have a few sections left that we will finish up this week.  Amy snapped one quick picture between hauling posts and fence sections to our garbage pile.

And finally, after dinner they all sang Happy Birthday to me and helped blow out my candle on my cherry pie.  The pie was delicious (the kids didn't like it, so they had leftover donuts...I don't know what's wrong with them).

Overall, it was a wonderful birthday filled with so much fun!

On Saturday we went to IKEA.  We were there a long, long time.  But, we all had fun!
