Happy 2018! We rang in the new year by going out to eat and then coming home to bed at our normal times. Someday we'll all make it to midnight. But when the kids still wake up at 6:30 a.m. no matter what day it is, sometimes the best thing to do is sleep right through that midnight celebration!
As always, our family has been busy. It may be easiest to just do mostly a photo update:
Pile on Daddy
Leslie made a Happy New Year hat at school
Daniel's Kindergarten class
Just a typical Tuesday for Leslie
They love to build!
Daniel started swimming lessons on Saturday. He seems to enjoy the lessons.
Bobby and Daniel fly to San Antonio on Saturday for the PAX (Penny Arcade Expo) for some serious video and computer game time. Daniel is ecstatic. He's looking forward to some one-on-one time with Daddy, all focused on gaming. He's pretty excited about staying in a hotel too.
Leslie and I will hang back at home for some girl time. She recently wanted to paint her nails, so I told her that if she could stop sucking her thumb, then she could go pick out whatever nail polish she wanted, and we'd paint her nails. I didn't think she'd really stop sucking her thumb, but she has for the last few days! So we'll likely venture out into the cold and find the most pink/sparkly nail polish possible. Stay tuned for more details after the weekend!
Speaking of Leslie, I took Daniel to a birthday party last weekend so Bobby had a little time with her at home. They spent some time playing one of her new favorite games - Paw Patrol. He took a video showing how it's played. It's pretty funny!
