Daniel was suppose to have a Lego Construction Camp this week through the Parks & Rec. Unfortunately, the class was cancelled due to low participation numbers and we weren't notified in advance. Thankfully, Daniel wasn't too upset. I think it was actually a good thing that the camp was cancelled because we're taking this week and soaking up all that Summer has to offer before Daniel heads off to Kindergarten next week (Wednesday). It's really starting to sink in for me that he'll be gone all week, all day. :( I'm going to miss my little buddy. And I imagine Leslie will too.
Monday we went to Chick-fil-A to play since the camp was unexpectedly cancelled.
On our nightly neighborhood walk
Tuesday we went to the Zoo!
I am terrible at selfies, but here we are on the train!
We ate lunch outside and watched Berlin, the polar bear
Leslie got a little bored toward the end. She was waiting for her big brother to finish sliding... for about the 1,358th time.
Probably time number 1,357 sliding in the Discovery Barn
All that sliding worked up an appetite for Dippin' Dots
And another time on the carousel
Leslie loves to color and do sidewalk chalk
Working on balancing while riding his bike
On another note, Daniel lost his fifth tooth, but the first one on the top, on Saturday. We were brushing his teeth, and I may have worked it a bit harder than the others (that sucker was ready to come out - ha!), and it popped out! The other front tooth is pretty loose too, but I imagine it will be a little bit before we manage to brush that one out since he freaks out when we even try to see how loose his teeth are.
Closing with a fun video... Leslie really likes to sing now. She loves nursery rhymes, and I believe her favorite is The Itsy Bitsy Spider:
