Christmas

We celebrated Christmas this year in Des Moines.  It was so fun to see so many of our friends and family.

We started the long weekend off with a visit to my Grandma Robins

The next day we got to see our awesome friends, The Hilliards, but forgot to snap any pictures.  We also spent some time with Uncle Gene, Aunt Mary Jo, and Allison!  We gathered for lunch Christmas Eve and then went back to their house where Daniel discovered how fun it is to have a staircase with TWO entries/exits.  :)  He and Aunt Mary Jo had lots of fun chanting, "PARTY IN THE HOUSE!"  It was adorable, and Leslie loved chasing them around too.

Christmas Eve we set out a cookie and milk for Santa, and some reindeer food Daniel made at school.

With Daddy's help, Daniel wrote an adorable note for Santa which said, "I have been very good this year.  Daniel"  He has been very good this year.  :)

A little Christmas cheer!

Christmas morning with Aunt Carrie!

I bought Leslie a beautiful dress for Christmas, but she would not wear it.  The day before she told me, "No Santa!" when she saw it.  I thought we'd try anyway, but no luck.  She didn't like the sleeves.  I guess I can't blame her...
Showing Uncle Jake his new NintendoDS3

Both Leslie and Daniel loved playing with Papa and Nani's light up tree

Frosting (and eating!) Nani's cookies
Leslie got a little tired with all the excitement, short naps, and going to bed late.  She wanted to snuggle Daddy (and watch a little Daniel Tiger).
She fell asleep on me (this never happens) while I was working on the computer the next day!

Leslie loved playing with her uncles, Tim and Mark!

Missing a few, but here are lots of Munyons!

And everyone loves Aunt Niecie!

Unfortunately, the next day Daniel had to have two cavities filled.  He did great though!  Such a brave and big boy.

This sugar filled treat (which probably didn't help with cavities) was made at school earlier in the week.  Too creative not to share!
What a fun trip!  We missed those we couldn't be with during Christmas, but we love you all and wish you all the best in 2017!
