Daniel turned 14-months today. There have been several developments over the last month which Daniel has mastered including walking and successfully switching to one nap a day instead of two. His confidence in walking and steadiness seem to grow with each day. He starts and stops smoothly and stoops down to pick up toys (or anything that suits his fancy) without falling over. He also loves to move objects from one place to another. He never seems to tire of pushing the laundry basket around the apartment or taking his clothes out of the dresser and piling them in the living room and then putting the clothes back in the dresser (see cute video below). It seems as though he is constantly in motion. Often his enthusiasm surpasses his abilities, so we monitor him closely!
He loves to climb. You've likely seen the video of him climbing the stairs at Grandpa and Grandma's house, but he loves to climb on lots of things now including Mommy and Daddy, blankets on the floor, he's tried to escape out of the tub, and he's mastered the stair going from our living room out to the patio.
Daniel still loves the dogs. We're glad he's developed a fondness for our first "babies," but he's starting to get a bit rough with him. He likes to pull on their tails and legs... mostly Trixie... poor Trixie. We remind him to be gentle, but that's not quite a concept he understands. But, for every tail pull, there's a hug, cuddle, gentle pat, and always a giggle.
