We made it safely to our new home in Kansas City (Lee's Summit, technically)! Thankfully my parents (a.k.a Grandpa and Grandma) flew out to Portland to drive one of our cars back with the dogs comfortably snug in the back among some of our belongings. This allowed us to fly to Des Moines with Daniel instead of driving across the country over several days... THANK YOU DAD AND MOM!!! Flying to DSM allowed us a visit to see family and friends before we drove down to KC last Thursday.
We are all adjusting to the much warmer weather and apartment living. We hope to purchase a home soon so we can spread out a bit and finally find things like pizza cutters and pot lids (somewhere hidden in the boxes of our garage which currently functions as storage for all of our stuff). It's pretty crazy what 2,000 square feet of stuff looks like in a 1,200 square foot apartment and single garage!
