Weekend Fun

This weekend we were planning on heading to the pool for the first time of the summer...but then it rained.  So, we decided to go to the ever-favorite Paradise Park instead.  As always, the kids had a blast.

Making, serving, and eating (pretend) pizza

My little gamer girl!

Leslie spent some time pretending to talk to Grandma and Grandmommy on the phone:

And then, as it was getting close to time to leave, Daniel asked about the rock climbing wall.  We were a little shocked that he was even interested in it and wanted to encourage him trying it.  So he did, here's a video of one of his attempts.  He only made it a few feet off the ground, but we were very proud of him for trying something new:

Earlier in the weekend, Daniel had some money burning a hole in his pocket, so we went to Target.  He ended up buying a pair of water guns.  We've had quite a bit of fun with them so far...

On Monday, Amy had to go to the dentist.  We decided it might be more fun for all involved if the kids had a babysitter instead of waiting in the waiting room.  It worked well because our neighbor and Daniel's first babysitter, Kennedy, was available (gotta love Summer!).  This was Leslie's first non-family babysitter, and I'm pretty sure they can't wait for us to leave again so that they can have a babysitter again!
