It was a great morning and we are looking forward to a fun rest of the day as the kids play with their new toys.
Earlier this week, Leslie turned 2-and-a-half years old. We have her checkup with the Pediatrician in about a week and a half and we're looking forward to that. She's completely potty trained now. She does still wear a diaper at night, but she wakes up dry most mornings. We've offered to switch her to underwear overnight but she still asks for her night time diaper, so we've left that alone for now.
She's a smart, funny, independent little girl who loves to laugh and have a good time. She also wants to do everything her big brother gets to do. Lately she's been asking to walk for our daily family walks instead of riding in the stroller. She especially loves to see animals and flowers (dandelions) on our walks.
Her favorite TV show is Paw Patrol. It's really the only show that will hold her interest for more than a few minutes most of the time. She likes to talk about all the different pups on the show and knows all of their catch phrases. Speaking of talking (ha ha), her vocabulary and language skills are excellent. She speaks in full sentences and asks lots of questions. She likes to talk on the phone, too.
And of course, she still loves to dance. Dance parties are a frequent event at the Gilliam house. She's even started singing along a little with some of the songs she knows. Here's a video from a recent dance party:
And this is a video from last night right before bed time. It was a little later than usual and she was being extra silly. It was dark in her room, so it's hard to see much in the video, but you can still hear her wonderful laugh:
We'll update with her latest growth stats and anything else from the pediatrician after that visit on the 25th.
We love our little Miss Leslie!
