We started our fun-filled weekend with a trip to Powell Gardens. As the name suggest, it's a botanical garden just East of KC which features beautiful gardens, landscapes, streams/ponds, and fountains. Currently they're featuring a Jurassic Garden where realistic dinosaurs are placed throughout the gardens. I think this helped the kids enjoy it too. Leslie was especially excited when we'd find a dinosaur, she'd say, "More!"

After we finished at the gardens, we headed home for lunch and a quick nap before heading out again. This time, we went to our neighborhood pool. The kids all had fun (and I'm pretty sure the adults did too)!
Sunday we woke up early and took the KC Streetcar to City Market. As some of you may remember, we took Grandmommy there a few weeks ago, and it was pretty crowded and comical. This time though, we went early, didn't stop at the "park", and went on a Sunday. It was much better! The weather was cooler, there were not huge crowds, we all got to try and share different foods (so yummy!), and the Streetcar was a much more enjoyable ride.
We are lucky to have such great friends! We love having our yearly Hilliard visit. There's even talk of a get together sometime in the Winter at The Great Wolf Lodge. :)
