Weekend Fun

This weekend we had two birthday parties to attend.  The first one was at an indoor swimming pool (where Daniel and Leslie have previously taken lessons).  Daniel had a blast playing with all his friends, and Leslie loved climbing up and down the stairs of the slide.  Mommy and Daddy even got in on the fun and went down the big water slide.  Both kiddos were pretty excited about the cake too!

Today we went to another birthday party for our friends, Ryan and Wendy's boy, Link.  It was held at a rec center with an open gym.  The kids had a GREAT time.  Daniel loved missing out on "quiet time" where he stays in his room and play quietly for about an hour while Leslie naps.  The party was really well organized, and we loved watching the kids burn off some energy and shake their sillies out!  Leslie LOVED the slide!

We had a visitor in our yard today.  A friendly box turtle said hi and then safely ventured back in to the woods through the fence.

While out running errands, we made a stop at Kohl's to pickup a few things.  Leslie decided that she needed to have a pair of sunglasses.  So, now she does.

Today, we had some downtime in the morning, so Daniel picked out a new movie to watch.  He picked The Penguins of Madagascar.  There were a few scary parts, but for the most part, he loved it and thought it was "hysterical" (his word choice).

And, as you may know, we've been doing some major outside work on our house.  We have new front doors, new landscaping, new paint, and new gutters.  It's finally complete and we love how it all looks.  The color is different, but we're really happy with it.  Here's a picture taken when the painting was complete, but before the new gutters went up.
