It's hard to believe we live about 20 minutes from a Legoland, and haven't taken Daniel there yet. That all changed Saturday when we not only visited, but purchased an annual pass so we can visit as many times as we'd (ok, ok... as many times as Daniel would) like in the next year! No surprise, but Daniel loved it there. He rode two rides... this was big. We were nervous he'd just turn and run the other way, but he embraced it, nervously, and told us he even had fun at the end! Yay! I'll explain more with the photos (and video) below:
Kingdom Quest Laser Ride - "Climb aboard your mighty chariot and use the mounted laser guns to zap the beastly trolls and spiders as they appear around each corner." I'm pretty sure this is the first time Daniel has ever held a gun. Bobby had to explain what to do. ;)
Lego Star Wars - Daddy was happy
Kansas City MiniLand... in front of the Lego Union Station
Merlin's Apprentice Ride - you can pedal to make the ride go up and down. Bobby did this once, and Daniel preferred to stay lower. Video below:
Putting together an angler fish at the Master Builder Class. Daniel put the whole thing together by himself, only asking for help once. Impressive!
Completed angler fish
And perhaps his favorite stop, the Lego retail shop.
We didn't purchase anything, but his Christmas list just grew by leaps and bounds!
And this little lady... she was a trooper at Legoland. She stayed in the stroller and only got fussy once. I think she enjoyed all the lights and sights. I didn't really get any pictures of her there, but here's a cute one of her when she woke up happy from her nap!
Bonus video... Daniel discovered the fun of taking his Ziggle down a small hill on our cul-de-sac:
