Leslie Marie, born at 7:31am on the 13th, 8lbs 2oz, 19" long.
Leslie is named for Amy's Grandpa Munyon (Dale Leslie Munyon) and shares her middle name which is a middle name for many of the women in her family. So, each of our children are named for our maternal grandfathers and have our middle names. I like the symmetry of it very much.
So far, she's the quietest (and alert!) baby I've ever seen. Any chance it will stay that way??
Amy is doing well. Some minor complications during the surgery meant that she lost a lot of blood and consequently had some issues afterwards. The doctor quickly ordered some labs and 2 units of blood for her. After receiving the blood, she started to feel better. By the afternoon, she was feeling "a million times better". And now, after having had a good night, she's up and moving around, eating, and doing remarkably well.
Amy's parents, sister, and grandma are all here to help celebrate Leslie's birth.
Daniel is doing well with her and is very curious, frequently coming up to her and touching her face and kissing her. It's all very sweet. He also told Amy's dad, "Grandpa you have to be careful, she's just a little baby."
So, to summarize: Let the (next) adventure begin!
