Daniel has really had a word explosion lately. We were diligently keeping track of each new word, so that we'd be prepared to tell the speech therapist in a couple of weeks how many he knew. For comparison sake, an average 2 year old knows about 50 words. When Daniel turned 2, he had less than 10. Well, as of today (he's 26 months old today, by the way), he's at 60! In fact, it's to the point where we are having a hard time keeping our list up to date. Rarely a day goes by where he doesn't add at least one or two new words. And, he's also started combining words - today he told Amy "Dada home" - he wanted me to come home!
This evening, I (kind of) managed to get him to go through some of his newer words on camera:
We are so thrilled with the progress he has made and are excited for his appointment with the speech therapist in a couple of weeks.
He's amazing! He's brilliant! He's beautiful!
