We're well into solid foods now. He gets them twice a day (morning and evening) and so far has had: rice cereal, oatmeal, avocado, sweet potato, butternut squash, bananas, corn, pears, and green beans. We are doing a mix of homemade and store bought, and so far he likes just about everything we give him. Next up will be peas, peaches, prunes, apples,...
He is very busy, always wanting to play with toys, the TV remote, or anything else he can get his hands on. He laughs at and talks to the dogs whenever he sees them. He knows how to shake his head and does it all the time, usually on his own but also if we say, "Shake your head!" We've been working on "So Big!" but usually he just shakes his head when we ask him how big he is. Just recently, he's learned how to stick out his tongue, and that's his new favorite trick. And his favorite thing to do when he wakes up in the morning or from a nap is to look at all of the family pictures in his room and smile a very, very big smile.
Every day with this little boy is a complete joy for us. Life is so good!
