Without a doubt, Daniel's favorite store (and maybe even favorite place) is Lowe's. We seem to go there about every other week for something, and we always get a kick out of how much fun he has there. Today we decided to go there with the sole purpose of recording a video of him. It's a little long, but it gives you a sense of how excited he gets to see various things - especially the washers and dryers, vacuums, and lawnmowers. Other favorites (but not in the video) include the tool aisle, ceiling fans, garbage bins, and grills.
We do love taking him there, but the fact that he knows the store layout better than we do, and the fact that his agenda rarely coincides with ours, makes it a bit difficult to get productive shopping done. But, it's still fun! I'll apologize in advance if you get a little motion sickness from watching this video. An excited toddler can be hard to keep up with!
Daniel has had a bit of a word explosion lately. We are keeping track of every word he adds, and he is currently up to 29. Just yesterday, he added 4! I recorded a short video of him showing off those four words.
For Father's Day this year, Amy got me a professional family picture session. We got the pictures back today and they turned out great! Here are a few that we are especially happy with:
Grandpa and Grandma came for a visit this weekend. We went to the zoo, out to dinner/ice cream, and did lots of playing and laughing together. It's always fun when they visit, and we look forward to the next time!
